He Yi, co-founder of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by transaction volume, put an end to concerns about the legal status of Binance co-founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) in the United States. The statement was made during the Binance China Meetup held in Dubai.
Yi noted that CZ's current situation in the US is largely peaceful, and past regulatory crackdowns were already anticipated. Expressing confidence in the current situation, Yi described it as the most favorable outcome considering the circumstances.
CZ is not allowed to go home to Dubai and currently remains in the USA. The former CEO is currently working on an educational application he developed for children.
He Yi clarified Binance's stance on cryptocurrency listing during the “Binance Clubhouse” event held on the same day, April 18. The statement came in response to a question about whether Binance has any preference on how a cryptocurrency is listed.
Yi said that Binance does not prefer a particular path and maintains a stance of neutrality.
