Coinbase, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency platforms, announced that it has added Osmosis (OSMO) altcoin to its roadmap.
Osmosis is a decentralized exchange (DEX) for Cosmos, an ecosystem of independent, interoperable blockchains interconnected by the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC). Osmosis also supports bridged non-IBC assets from Ethereum and Polkadot.
The Coinbase roadmap is a blog post that Coinbase uses to notify when it decides to list an asset. The roadmap is updated periodically and announced via Coinbase's official Twitter account.
The roadmap shows the assets Coinbase has decided to list, but does not indicate when they will be available for trading or custody. Assets are subject to a variety of factors that can delay or prevent their listing. The roadmap also does not include all the assets Coinbase decides to list and does not exclude any asset from potential listing.
