Changpeng Zhao, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, which was sued by the SEC on Monday, has been summoned to testify by a US court.
In the accessed document, CZ's address is shown in Malta.
The court document against CZ stated:
“Within 21 days (not counting the day you received it) from service of this summons to you, you must serve the plaintiff a reply to the attached complaint or a petition pursuant to Section 12 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. The reply or petition must be served on the plaintiff or the plaintiff's attorney whose name and address are indicated.
If you do not respond, you will be forfeited for the assistance requested in the complaint. You must also submit your answer or petition to the court.”
