Here's What Institutional Investors Did This Week in Bitcoin and Altcoins as US-China Tensions Continue: Surprise from Two Altcoins!

Bitcoin and altcoins continue to be hit by tariff tensions between the US and China.

While BTC, Ethereum, and altcoins fell to lows not seen in a long time, Coinshares released its weekly cryptocurrency report and said that there was an inflow of $240 million last week.

“Cryptocurrency investment products saw a total of $240 million in outflows last week, in response to recent news of U.S. trade tariffs that pose a threat to economic growth.”

Bitcoin and Altcoins Are Falling!

When looking at individual crypto funds, it was seen that the majority of outflows were in Bitcoin.

While BTC experienced an outflow of $207 million, Ethereum (ETH) experienced an outflow of $37.7 million.

When we look at other altcoins, Solana (SOL) experienced an outflow of $1.8 million, SUI $4.7 million, while XRP $4.5 million and Toncoin (TON) $1.1 million inflow.

“The vast majority of outflows occurred in Bitcoin, with $207 million in outflows, bringing the total inflow since the beginning of the year to $1.3 billion.

Flows in altcoins were mixed, with Ethereum seeing $37.7 million in outflows, while Solana and Sui saw $1.8 million and $4.7 million in outflows respectively. More esoteric tokens like Toncoin (TON) saw $1.1 million in inflows.”

When looking at regional fund inflows and outflows, it was seen that the USA ranked first with an outflow of 210 million dollars.

Germany came in second after the USA with an output of $17.7 million.

Contrary to these outflows, Canada and Brazil saw smaller inflows of $4.8 million and $1.4 million, respectively.
