Blockchain security platform Cyvers Alerts said in a post on its Twitter account that one of the hot wallets of the Huobi exchange was hacked and the attacker stole 5,000 Ethereum (ETH).
Shortly after these allegations, a statement regarding the HTX hack came from Tron (TRX) founder Justin Sun.
Confirming the hack, Justin Sun said the funds were safe.
“HTX suffered a loss of 5,000 ETH (US$8 million) due to a hacker attack.
HTX has fully covered the losses resulting from the attack and successfully resolved all related issues.
All user assets are SAFU and the platform operates completely normally.”
