According to The Block, stablecoin issuer TrueUSD suffered a security breach that exposed the personal information of some of its customers.
TrueUSD was backed by Tron (TRX) founder Justin Sun and Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange.
Accordingly, TrueUSD customers allegedly received an email warning them of a security breach that their personal information may have been compromised.
It was stated in the news that the information obtained by the attackers included customers' names, surnames, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, as well as customer addresses, bank names, transaction histories and general addresses of the blockchain account.
TrueUSD stated in its e-mail that it took immediate action and said, “TrueUSD took swift action to prevent further unauthorized access. TrueUSD's own internal systems were not compromised.”
Lastly, TrueUSD added that customers should be careful about any hacking incident and should contact them if they notice anything unusual.
Binance CEO CZ also made a statement on the subject:
