Grayscale, one of the largest asset managers, has made a new announcement concerning Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL).
According to the official statement, Grayscale announced that it will distribute the staking rewards earned from the Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF (ETHE) to investors.
This will be the first instance in the US of a spot ETF distributing staking earnings to its holders.
Accordingly, Grayscale announced that it will distribute the proceeds from the sale of staking rewards earned by the ETHE fund between October 6, 2025 and December 31, 2025 to its existing shareholders.
According to this distribution plan, ETHE shareholders will receive $0.083178 USD for each share they hold, reflecting the proceeds from the fund’s sale of staking rewards earned during the relevant period.
Payments will be made to investors on January 6, 2026, according to their ETHE shareholding percentage as of January 5, 2026.
Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg stated: “Distributing staking rewards to ETHE shareholders is a landmark moment not just for Grayscale, but for the entire Ethereum community and ETPs in general. As the first Ethereum ETP in the US to distribute staking rewards to investors, we are reinforcing Grayscale’s pioneering role in integrating new digital asset capabilities into the ETP structure.”
As is known, in October 2025, Grayscale became the first issuer to enable staking for Ethereum products. At that point, the ETHE fund, along with the Grayscale Ethereum Staking Mini ETF (ETH), also became the first Ethereum ETF in the US to enable staking.
Grayscale also announced changes related to its Ethereum and Solana ETFs. Accordingly, Grayscale stated that it updated the names of its three funds that feature staking capabilities.
