While the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets are moving sideways these days, good news came from PostFinance, a bank fully owned by the Swiss government, for XRP, Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX) and Polkadot (DOT).
PostFinance, one of the largest financial institutions in Switzerland, announced that it offers trading and custody services for XRP, SOL, ADA, AVAX and DOT for its customers.
“We now offer trading and custody for Avalanche, Cardano, Polkadot, Ripple and Solana,” the statement said.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson responded to PostFinance's ADA move with a post from his X account, and also explained his long-standing connection with the bank.
“Fun Fact: While we were at Ethereum, Postfinance was actually one of our first banking partners. They were always nice and easy to work with,” Hoskinson said.
Responding to this post by the ADA founder, the PostFinance team said: “Hello, it's always nice to see old friends! We are happy that Cardano is now part of our crypto offering.” said.
In April 2023, PostFinance had partnered with Sygnum Bank to provide cryptocurrency services. This collaboration allows PostFinance customers to buy, store and sell cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) using Sygnum's B2B banking platform.
