Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has published a new paper outlining potential upgrades to Ethereum's Proof-of-Stake (PoS) system.
Vitalik Buterin Proposes Improvements to Ethereum's PoS Mechanism
Buterin’s proposals aim to achieve two main goals: single-slot finality, where blocks are confirmed within a single slot, and democratized staking by lowering the minimum staking threshold to just 1 ETH.
Key Recommendations for Ethereum’s PoS Improvement
Buterin outlined three potential solutions to achieve these goals:
- İyileştirilmiş İmza Birleştirme Protokolü
- Improving the signature aggregation process will make block validation easier and increase the efficiency of validators, bringing Ethereum closer to achieving single-slot finality. This improvement will allow each block to be finalized in seconds, improving network security and user experience.
- Komite Mekanizması
- The introduction of an “Orbital Committee” would create a smaller, dynamic group of validators tasked with generating rapid consensus. This mechanism would reduce coordination complexity and speed up the final outcome without sacrificing decentralization.
- İki Aşamalı Staking Sistemi
- Buterin proposed a two-tiered structure that would lower the staking requirement to 1 ETH, opening up participation to more users. A second tier of “super validators” with higher stakes would help secure the network. This model aims to democratize staking while maintaining the security and robustness of Ethereum.
While these ideas are still in the proposal phase, Buterin’s suggestions point to Ethereum’s commitment to continuously improving its PoS system.
If adopted, these changes could increase Ethereum's scalability and accessibility while competing with other blockchain networks.
The community will now review these proposals, and further discussions are expected to shape their final implementation.
