Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, one of the most important names in the cryptocurrency industry, shared a post about a new memecoin.
Buterin, who mentioned the memecoin MOODENG in his post via the X account, thanked this altcoin.
Buterin, who also sold an altcoin, stated that all altcoins sent to his wallet by the MOODENG team were donated to charities.
Accordingly, Wu Blockchain reported in its post that Vitalik Buterin sold 10 billion MOODENG tokens for 308.7 ETH and donated 260.15 ETH to the Kanro charity.
Buterin, who still has 40 billion MOODENG worth $4.32 million, stated that all the memecoins sent to him were donated, and expressed his appreciation for the memecoins that supported the charity.
“I appreciate all the memecoins that donate a portion of their supply directly to charity. For example, I saw ebull send a bunch of them to various groups last month.
Everything sent to me goes to charity (thanks Moodeng! Starting today, 10 billion MOODENG will be donated.
As I said before, the great thing about memecoins is that they can be maximally positive-sum for the world, so it's great to see moments where that actually happens!”
After Vitalik Buterin's post, EBULL on Ethereum increased by 20 times, and MOODENG on Ethereum increased by 2 times.
I appreciate all the memecoins that donate portions of their supply directly to charity.
(eg. I saw ebull sent a bunch to various groups last month)
Anything that gets sent to me gets donated to charity too (thanks moodeng! The 10B from today is going to anti-airborne-disease…
