Google Cloud has announced the launch of a Blockchain Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service to make it easier for cryptocurrency developers to interact with blockchain data and increase the reliability of decentralized applications (DApps).
It was stated that the Blockchain RPC service aims to offer fast response times.
Google Cloud said in its official statement that the Blockchain RPC service will initially be compatible with the Ethereum (ETH) mainnet and testnet, and that they plan to expand to additional blockchains other than ETH in the coming year.
Google Cloud stated that this solution works in compliance with Ethereum's JSON-RPC standard, and developers will be able to integrate Google Cloud's service with a single line of code and minimal changes.
Google Cloud said its Blockchain RPC service initially launched with a free tier offering 100 call requests per second and one million requests per day, which is enough to develop real-time and data-intensive applications.
He also reminded that Google Cloud already provides other blockchain-focused infrastructure services such as node hosting and data analytics for various blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana (SOL), and Aptos (APT).
