As the eighth anniversary celebrations of the largest altcoin Ethereum continue, an ETH whale that has been dormant for eight years has awakened.
Popular cryptocurrency platform Lookonchain said in a post that an Ethereum ICO participant bought 641 ETH in 2015 and woke up after 8 years of inactivity.
Lookonchain said it has transferred $1.2 million worth of 641 ETH to DeFi platform Abyss Finace to stake.
Lookonchain added that the whale bought 2,000 Ethereum at the time of the ICO at $0.31.
“An Ethereum ICO participant woke up after 8 years of inactivity, transferred 641 ETH and started staking.

In the past weeks, another ICO whale also woke up after 8 years of inactivity and transferred its ETH to Kraken, which received more than 61,000 ETH in 2015.
