Donation from Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin to the Struggling Altcoin!

In 2022, Tornado Cash was blacklisted by the US Treasury Department and its founders Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm were arrested.

While the legal struggle of the Tornado Cash founders, who were accused of money laundering, continues, support came from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.

According to data, Buterin's address vitalik.eth donated 30 ETH worth approximately $113,000 to Tornado Cash founders Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm.

The fund launched to help the legal fight of Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm collected approximately 559.81 ETH.

It was stated that the donations collected in this fund will be used to support the legal defense of the Tornado Cash founders.

As you may remember, the Dutch court found Alexey Pertsev, the founder of the cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash (TORN), guilty of money laundering and sentenced him to 64 months in prison. The Dutch judge stated that Tornado Cash was “intended for criminals” and “completely facilitated by criminals” and found its founder Pertsev guilty of laundering $1.2 billion worth of illegal assets.
