The StarkNet community recently released specific details about the upcoming releases of StarkNet, v0.12.3 and v0.13.0, as well as the migration to the Sepolia testnet.
The v0.12.3 update, planned for the mainnet version on December 11, 2023, foresees the deprecation of the feeder gateway. In light of this change, developers were advised to switch to the API service or run a full node independently.
Following v0.12.3, StarkNet plans to introduce v0.13.0, which will be launched on the mainnet on January 22, 2024, subject to management vote. This update will introduce new transaction types V3, which will include the option to pay transaction fees in STRK in addition to ETH. The release will also come with a new version of Cairo.
On the other hand, StarkNet will move its testnet to Sepolia after Goerli is deprecated. This move was introduced as part of StarkNet's ongoing efforts to improve and adapt its network to better serve its users.
StarkNet's STARK token has not yet been released and the community hopes the airdrop will be distributed alongside v0.13.0.
