While studies on the regulations on crypto currencies continue in our country, the Economy Coordination Board (EKK) met in Ankara under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
While the agenda of the meeting included issues such as the cryptocurrency regulation draft, SOE reform and state aid, a written statement was made after the meeting.
In the statement, it was stated that the stage reached in the legislative studies aimed at regulating the cryptocurrency ecosystem was evaluated and the following statements were made:
“The progress reached in the legislation studies aimed at regulating the cryptocurrency ecosystem has been evaluated.
“The issues to be included in the draft law proposal will be evaluated and with the regulation becoming law in the coming days, one of the necessary conditions for our country to be removed from the gray list will be met.”
The meeting chaired by Vice President Yılmaz was attended by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey ( CBRT) President Hafize Gaye Erkan also attended.
