Cryptocurrency Exchange Thodex CEO Will Be Brought To Türkiye Tomorrow! What's in the Indictment?

It is time for CEO Faruk Fatih Özer to stand up to Turkish justice in the Thodex case, which was recorded as the biggest crypto money fraud case in Turkey.

Ozer, who was captured in Albania and decided to be extradited to Turkey, will be brought to Turkey tomorrow.

What Is Thodex CEO Charged With?

In the indictment prepared against Özer in Turkey, there are 21 suspects and 2027 victims, together with Özer. According to the information in the indictment, the financial dimension of the victimization revealed by Thodex is 356 million TL.

Özer's older brothers, Güven Özer and Serap Özer, are also listed as suspects in the 268-page indictment.

The suspects were charged with establishing and managing an organization with the aim of committing a crime, fraud by using information systems as a tool of banks or credit institutions, fraud by merchants or company executives and cooperative managers, and laundering the property values arising from the crime.

Within the scope of the investigation, it was decided that 61 people whose statements were taken as suspects before, were not prosecuted.

It was claimed that Thodex CEO Özer paid 2 million liras for 8 victims to withdraw their complaints, but Özer was caught before they could continue.
