Tom Lee, founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors and a renowned market strategist, highlighted the revolutionary impact that blockchain technology, a cornerstone of the cryptocurrency world, will have on the traditional financial sector in his projections for 2026.

Lee argued that blockchain is no longer just an investment tool, but has become a driving force behind the efficiency of the global banking system.

According to Tom Lee, giant financial institutions like JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs are on the verge of a major transformation by integrating blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into their operations. Lee stated that these technologies will significantly reduce banks’ operational costs and employee density.

The renowned strategist stated that this efficiency increase, driven by blockchain technology, will create a significant “margin expansion,” predicting that large, technology-focused banks could be priced not just like traditional banks in the future, but like “tech stocks” such as Nvidia or Apple. Lee hinted that these banks could be candidates for the next “Magnificent Seven.”

Lee also touched upon the “Christmas Rally,” a topic eagerly anticipated by cryptocurrency investors each year, stating that it’s not an urban legend but a fact based on statistical data. He reminded listeners that fresh cash flows into asset classes during the last week of the year and the first days of the new year, and painted a more “dovish” picture for the Fed in 2026.

With the Fed showing a tendency to lower interest rates, risk appetite is expected to increase in both traditional markets and blockchain-based projects. Lee argued that this macroeconomic climate will push business confidence (ISM data) above 50, which will be a significant support for risky assets.
