The US House of Representatives Agriculture Committee and the US House of Representatives Financial Services Committee will hold a joint session on cryptocurrencies on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 16:30 Turkish time.
The session titled "The Future of Digital Assets: Measuring Regulatory Gaps in Digital Asset Markets" will be hosted by the Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Inclusion Subcommittee.
The session aims to discuss the regulatory gaps that exist in digital asset markets and how these gaps can be addressed to ensure proper regulation of digital assets.
The session will bring together a diverse group of experts from different sectors of the digital asset industry. The prominent names in the list of participants were announced as follows:
- Republic Crypto executive Andrew Durgee
- Matthew Kulkin, who advises clients on futures and derivatives regulation and was previously a senior official with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
- Marco Santori, who oversees Kraken's legal and regulatory affairs
- Timothy Massad, former CFTC chair and researcher on digital asset policy at Harvard Kennedy School
In addition, the US House of Representatives Agriculture Committee shared on the official Twitter account that Bitcoin and crypto money followers were invited to follow the session that will be held today.
