Criticism of SEC and USA from Ripple CEO!

With the US inflation data coming in above expectations, Bitcoin continues its horizontal course, approaching the $ 26,000 limit.

After the inflation data in BTC, the PPI data to be announced tomorrow and the FOMC minutes to be announced next week are expected.

While activity on the BTC front continues, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse made statements regarding the USA and cryptocurrency regulations.

Speaking at the Token 2024 conference in Singapore, Ripple CEO criticized the SEC for its actions while addressing regulatory uncertainty in the US.

Pointing out that there is a lot of regulatory uncertainty in the crypto field in the USA, Brad Garlinghouse stated that the USA is one of the worst countries to start a cryptocurrency venture and said, “The only country I would not encourage you to start a company in right now is the USA.”

The famous CEO, who said that the main reason for this thought was the SEC, claimed that he entered a political war with the crypto industry with the lawsuits filed by the SEC.

Claiming that the SEC's litigation strategy did not work at this point, Garlinghouse stated that the general mood turned in favor of crypto after the courts' decisions on Ripple and Grayscale.

“You see the momentum shifting between the SEC and the cryptocurrency industry.

I think a lot of judges used to think, 'The SEC is always right.' and they were not against it. But now we are starting to see that this opinion is changing.

Additionally, the United States needs to implement policies that encourage crypto innovation.

“There is a segment of the crypto industry that is anti-regulatory, and in my opinion, if we want this industry to thrive and succeed, we can't act like government regulations don't matter.”

Commenting on the court's decisions on Ripple and Grayscale, Ripple CEO said, “Although these decisions are not binding, these decisions provide relatively more clarity to crypto exchanges and companies operating in the USA, at least for now.” said.

Finally, touching on the Ripple case, Brad Grlinghouse stated that the case is progressing in favor of Ripple.
