While the SEC-Ripple lawsuit is being concluded, Ripple (XRP) continues to make critical moves towards growth.
At this point, US giant company Ripple announced that they have partnered with Chipper Cash to make crypto payments faster and more accessible across Africa using Ripple Payments.
Chipper Cash, a widely used payments app with over five million users across nine countries, is integrating Ripple Payments to allow fast, seamless cross-border transfers on a 24/7 basis in Africa.
This partnership aims to make transactions faster, cheaper and more efficient across the African continent.
Ripple and Chipper Cash plan to improve financial access and facilitate remittances for millions of people in Africa by leveraging blockchain technology.
“Our partnership with Chipper Cash represents a significant milestone in the expansion of Ripple’s business in Africa,” said Reece Merrick, General Manager, Ripple Middle East and Africa. “Consumers and businesses across the continent are increasingly recognizing the potential of blockchain technology, and we are excited to bring our crypto-powered payments solution to our partners in the region.”
The partnership is a big step for Ripple in its expansion in Africa, and it is stated that Ripple operates in more than 90 markets with Ripple Payments and has processed more than $70 billion in transactions.
