According to Bloomberg, the London Stock Exchange (LSE) announced that it will accept Bitcoin and Ethereum crypto ETN applications in the second quarter of 2024.
In the statement made by LSE, the following statements were made:
“The London Stock Exchange confirms that it will accept applications for acceptance of Bitcoin and Ethereum crypto ETNs in the second quarter of 2024 and in accordance with the details contained in the crypto ETN information sheet available on the Exchange website.
The exact launch date will be confirmed in due course.
The underlying cryptocurrency of these products is Bitcoin or Ethereum.
These BTC and ETH are stored in a cold wallet.
The custodian is regulated under UK, EU, Swiss or US AML legislation.
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETNs are open to professional investors only.”
