According to the latest development, Coinbase futures are listing cats in a dogs world (MEW), Memecoin (MEME) and Jasmycoin (JASMY).
In the statement made by Coinbase futures, it was stated that the trading of these three tokens will begin on August 8, 2024.
It is noteworthy that two of the three tokens are memecoin. Thanks to their high volatility, Memecoins account for a significant part of the earnings of exchanges, especially on futures platforms.
JASMY, one of the altcoins to be listed, is already listed in the Coinbase spot market, while the other two tokens are not listed in the spot market. MEW, on the other hand, draws attention in that it is not listed on Binance.
Coinbase futures aims to compete with companies such as Binance and Bybit, which have large market shares in the futures market, with memecoin listings.
