There was a new development after the SEC announced during the day that spot Bitcoin ETF applications will not be accepted without the name of the intermediary cryptocurrency exchange.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that it has signed a custody sharing agreement with Coinbase, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, to help monitor and prevent manipulation in trading spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) stocks.

Cboe Global Markets has resubmitted its Fidelity spot BTC ETF listing application to the SEC.

Update

Fidelity, WisdomTree, VanEck, and Invesco/Galaxy also resubmitted their spot Bitcoin ETF applications, naming Coinbase as the exchange. No word yet from BlackRock and ARK.
