Cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io has announced the launch of a public token sale (IEO) for PUMP, the official utility token of Solana-based memecoin platform Pump.Fun. The sale will begin on July 12, 2025, and will last for 72 hours or until tokens run out.
The token, which has a total supply of 1 trillion PUMP, will be offered to investors in the first sale of 150 billion PUMP. The sale price is set at 0.004 USDT/PUMP, which brings the token's total market value in the first sale to $4 billion. The sale will take place on a first-come, first-served basis.
PUMP will be the official utility token of the memecoin creation platform called pump.fun and its integrated automated market maker (AMM) protocol.
While the Pump.Fun Protocol does not require holding PUMP tokens, users who own PUMP will be eligible to participate in promotions offered by the protocol. 15% of the total supply will be offered in this sale, with no upper limit for individual investors; only a minimum transaction amount will be applied.
However, let us remind you that the volatility of the token will be high and there may be large drops in the token price since a significant part of the total supply will be locked.
