Coinbase International, the international arm of Coinbase, lists Arweave (AR), Hedera (HBAR), and Theta Network (THETA) in futures.
According to the official statement made by Coinbase, the cryptocurrency exchange will list these three altcoins on May 9, 2024 at 12:30 Turkey time (UTC+3).
Coinbase International was founded by the parent company, which wanted to gain a share of the futures market after the collapse of FTX. Currently, the futures market is largely driven by Binance, Bybit and OKX.
Although the number of altcoins listed on Coinbase International is still very small, the platform frequently updates its listings and 35 altcoins have been listed on this platform since its launch.
Among the listed altcoins, there are names known for their high volatility such as DOGE, PEPE, WIF, ORDI.
However, Coinbase International is not available to US citizens and is only available to non-US users. This is thought to be due to strict regulatory rules in the US.
