Chairman of the Financial Services Committee of the US House of Representatives, Patrick McHenry, one of the important names supporting Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrencies, made a written statement following the SEC's approval decision.
Stating that this decision and today is a turning point for the US cryptocurrency ecosystem, McHenry said:
Today's spot Bitcoin ETF approvals mark a historic turning point for the future of the digital asset ecosystem in the United States.
While legislation to bring clarity and certainty to digital assets remains necessary, today's actions are a significant improvement over the SEC's track record of regulating through enforcement.

We are committed to improving consumer protection in digital asset markets through comprehensive market structure and stable payment legislation. ”
