Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has an impact on cryptocurrencies, especially Dogecoin (DOGE), with his statements and shares and is closely followed by investors, made new statements.
At this point, Elon Musk was the guest of Bitcoin supporter Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood last night.
Before the speech, Wood said that he and Elon Musk would talk about Bitcoin, artificial intelligence and many other topics.
However, Elon Musk spoke very little about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and answered the BTC question evasionally.
Cathie Wood asked Musk about the potential effects of Bitcoin on financial markets. Avoiding giving a clear answer to this question, Musk said:
“I must say that I haven't spent much time thinking about cryptocurrencies.
Regarding fiat currencies such as dollar, euro and lira, I think they are good as long as they do not undergo inflation or lose value. “As long as governments don't abuse it by printing too much money.”
Following his comments about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, the crypto community is disappointed about Musk's crypto integration on the X platform.
Because the community was hoping that Musk could integrate Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, including Dogecoin, into in-app payment services in X. However, after these statements, the community seems to see crypto integration as a distant possibility.
At this point, Elon Musk added that he expects in-app payment services on X to be fully launched “by the middle of next year.”
