El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, who was much talked about and criticized for his bold Bitcoin decision, made new statements after the rise of BTC.
Sharing from his account X, the president of El Salvador said that the country's Bitcoin investment is profitable.
Referring to people or institutions that criticize the decision to accept Bitcoin as a legal currency, Bukele announced that El Salvador has a profit of $ 3.62 million at the current price.
“El Salvador's Bitcoin investments are profitable!
We are in the money on BTC after thousands of articles and hit pieces mocking our supposed losses, all calculated based on Bitcoin's market price at the time.
If we sold 100% of our BTC investment at the current Bitcoin market price, we would not only recover 100% of our investment but also make a profit of $3.62 million.
Of course, we have no intention of selling our Bitcoins. We will never sell. Selling was never our goal.
We are fully aware that the price will continue to fluctuate in the future; However, this volatility will not affect our long-term BTC strategy.
However, it is also important for us that the opponents and those who criticize us take back their words. What needs to be done at this point is for these people and institutions to retract what they wrote and said about us, apologize, or at least accept that El Salvador is now profiting.
“If they see themselves as real journalists, they should report this new truth, that El Salvador is making a profit, just as they report that it is at a loss.”

As you may remember, El Salvador was the first country to make Bitcoin a legal currency. El Salvador was frequently criticized by both countries and monetary authorities for accepting Bitcoin. However, the country's president, Nayib Bukele, did not back down from his BTC decision and frequently purchased BTC.
