El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, who broke new ground by accepting Bitcoin as legal currency, met with famous Bitcoin bull Cathie Wood.
Two Bitcoin supporters came together to revitalize El Salvador's economy and attract global investors to the country using Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin-themed collaboration between ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood and Nayib Bukele also aims to further strengthen BTC in the country, solidifying El Salvador's position as a leading player in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors and becoming a leading hub in this field.
After meeting with Bukele, Cathie Wood shared a post about El Salvador, Bukele and Bitcoin on her X account.
Wood, who started by thanking the people who introduced him to President Bukele, praised Bukele's Bitcoin move and stated that if El Salvador continues to use Bitcoin, its gross domestic product (GDP) will increase tenfold in the next five years.
Wood said President Bukele is also open to the idea of Ark Invest's education arm, ARK Educate, introducing its curriculum on technologically enabled innovation (robotics, energy storage, artificial intelligence, blockchain and multiomics) to schools in El Salvador.
“In our conversation, I found President Bukele to be incredibly knowledgeable, extremely engaging and vision-driven. I can understand why the President is extremely popular not only in El Salvador, but also in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Pay attention to this leader and his country !”
Wood and Bukele's meeting was also attended by Max Keiser, who advises Bukele on Bitcoin-related issues, Bitcoin advocate Stacy Herbet, US economist Arthur Laffer and ARK Invest research associate Marc Seal.
Thank you @maxkeiser and Stacy for introducing Art Laffer, @dpuellARK, Marc Seal, and me to President Bukele last week. Harnessing #bitcoin and #AI to turbocharge his economic and education reforms, the President could scale El Salvador's GDP 10-fold during his next 5-year term. https://t.co/7vjYwJ8mLe
