Binance, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, announced support for the upcoming network upgrade of Cosmos (ATOM), a popular blockchain platform known for its interoperability solutions.
Binance Cosmos (ATOM) Will Support Network Upgrade
The planned network upgrade will occur at block height 18,262,000, which is expected to happen around 14:00 on December 13, 2023.
To facilitate a smooth transition during the upgrade process, Binance will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of ATOM tokens on the Cosmos network. This suspension is expected to begin at 13:00 on December 13, 2023.
It is important to note that trading of ATOM tokens on the Binance platform will not be affected by the network upgrade. Users will be able to continue buying and selling ATOM tokens without any problems during this period.
Once the upgraded network is deemed stable, Binance will reopen deposits and withdrawals for ATOM tokens. Users can expect the resumption of these services without any additional announcements.
This move by Binance underlines its commitment to closely following developments in the blockchain space and providing uninterrupted support for upgrades and advancements of projects listed on its platform.
