Binance to Support Terra (LUNA) Network Upgrade: Transactions Will Be Temporarily Suspended

According to the statement made by the exchange, deposits and withdrawals of all tokens on the Terra network will be temporarily suspended as of 15:05 on December 8, 2025.

The network upgrade is expected to occur around 4:05 PM, once block height 18,660,000 is reached. Binance stated that it will handle all technical requirements on behalf of users to ensure the process runs smoothly.

The exchange emphasized that trading of LUNA and related tokens will not be affected during the upgrade. Accordingly, users will be able to continue their trading activities without interruption. The restriction will only apply to transfers.

Once the upgrade is complete and the Terra network is confirmed to be stable, token deposits and withdrawals will be reactivated. Binance stated that it will not make any further announcements regarding this process once the network is stabilized.

Network upgrades are critical for blockchain ecosystems, both for security and performance. Binance manages the technical processes on behalf of users, allowing investors to continue using the platform securely without requiring any additional steps.
