Bitcoin Exchange Binance Announces It Will Support Network Upgrades and Hardforks of These Altcoins!

Leading global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced support for the upcoming network upgrades and hardforks of Arweave (AR) and MultiversX (EGLD).

Binance Will Support Arweave (AR) and MultiversX (EGLD) Network Upgrades and Hard Forks

According to Binance’s official announcement, the Arweave (AR) network upgrade and hardfork is scheduled to occur on February 3, 2025 at around 5:00 PM UTC at the expected block height of 1,602,350.

To facilitate the upgrade, deposits and withdrawals of AR tokens will be temporarily suspended from approximately 16:00 on the same day.

Similarly, the MultiversX (EGLD) network upgrade will occur on February 4, 2025 at 18:30 in epoch 1650. Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals of EGLD tokens from approximately 17:30.

Important Details for Binance Users:

• Trading Unaffected: Binance has confirmed that trading of AR and EGLD tokens will continue uninterrupted throughout the upgrade process.
• No User Action Required: Binance will handle all technical requirements on behalf of its users, eliminating the need for any manual intervention.
• Service Restart: Deposits and withdrawals will resume once networks are deemed stable. Binance noted that there will be no further announcements regarding the reopening of these services.

These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve the performance, security, and scalability of both networks. Users are advised to plan accordingly to avoid outages during maintenance windows.
