The world's largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, surged as the election results were seen as a sure bet for Donald Trump, with the price exceeding $71,000.
While this rise was happening, the BTC whale, which had been sleeping for about 12 years, woke up and transferred 159 BTC.
According to Lookonchain's post, a whale address that had been holding 749 BTC ($53.22 million) for 12 years woke up and transferred 159 BTC.
This whale first started accumulating Bitcoin in 2012 when the price was just $11 and amassed 749 BTC (worth $8,151 at the time).
“After the Bitcoin price surpassed $71,000, a whale holding 749 BTC ($53.23 million) woke up from a 12-year sleep and transferred 159 BTC ($11.32 million)!

There are various reasons why a Bitcoin whale that has not traded for years may become active again, but generally speaking, taking action after a long period of time is interpreted as a sale.
However, it seems possible that it is preparing for an action other than a sale, such as reinvestment.
