Bitcoin Enemy Peter Schiff Switched Sides? He Shared BTC Investment Regrets: “At That Time BTC Was Under $ 1”

In a recent interview, famous Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff admitted that he regretted not buying Bitcoin when he first learned about it.

Schiff, an ardent critic of BTC, announced in 2010 that he considered investing in Bitcoin but ultimately declined.

Schiff recalled a time when a colleague introduced him to Bitcoin and suggested he buy some. According to the analyst, the price of Bitcoin at that time was under one dollar. “I remember thinking about it. Yeah, I mean, I could throw $10,000 into it, or $50,000. I don't know. I thought about it and didn't do it,” Schiff said.

Schiff admitted that he did not see the potential for Bitcoin to become, in his words, a financial bubble like it is today. “Yeah, I thought maybe it could go up, but I didn't want to deal with it,” he added.

Schiff now says he wishes he had made the decision to invest. “Do I wish I had made the decision to throw in $10,000, $50,000, $100,000? Of course. Yes. I mean, assuming I didn't sell it, it would be worth hundreds of millions of dollars,” he said.

Despite his regret, Schiff maintains that he would not have supported Bitcoin even if he had purchased it. “I couldn't tell other people to buy it. I would have to keep quiet about it because I never believed it,” he explained.
