Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, started the day with the altcoin announcement.
At this point, Binance stated that it will support the network upgrade and hard fork of the altcoin named Horizen (ZEN).
Binance included the following statements in its statement:
“Binance will support the Horizen (ZEN) network upgrade and hard fork, which will occur in two phases:
The first phase will take place at approximately 19:00 UTC on 19.09.2023.
Deposits and withdrawals of tokens to the above-mentioned network will be suspended starting approximately 19.09.2023 at 18:00 UTC.
The second phase will take place at approximately 10:00 UTC on 26.09.2023. Token deposits and withdrawals to the above-mentioned network will be suspended as of approximately 09:00 UTC on 26.09.2023.
Token trading on the above-mentioned network will not be affected. Deposits and withdrawals for tokens on the specified network will be reopened once the upgraded network is deemed stable. “No further announcements will be made.”
After Binance's announcement, ZEN price took off and rose over 3%. At the time of writing, ZEN is trading at $7.64.
