While the Libra (LIBRA) token, which has been alleged to be a fraud in the cryptocurrency market, was being discussed recently, CZ was also involved in the incident.
Binance founder CZ announced that he donated 150 BNB to a student campaign supporting LIBRA victims.
CZ said that after the LIBRA victims, it will also help investors affected by significant losses in tokens called TST and BROCCOLI.
Making a statement from the X account, CZ said that the address to which he sent 150 BNB donations for LIBRA victims received more BNB and various tokens than he sent.
Stating that he will not keep any of the BNB and various tokens sent to his address, CZ said that he will donate these funds to TST and BROCCOLI victims.
“Funny things happen in crypto.
When you try to make money fast, you will most likely lose. When you give your money away, you get more back.
I donated 150 BNB (~$100,000 USD) to a college student who put up $50,000 of his own money to help Libra victims.
Now the address has received more BNB and more tokens than I donated.
I won't keep a single satoshi of this. I'll probably donate it to people who lost money on TST or Broccoli's. This is NOT an endorsement for any of the tokens sent. Don't over-interpret this.”
As you may recall, CZ recently announced that he has a dog named BROCCOLI, and many memecoins named BROCCOLI have emerged since then. Although the BROCCOLI price increased by 160% when it was first launched, the token has fallen by more than 75% since its peak, causing many investors to lose money due to FOMO.
Likewise, the TST token experienced a huge increase after its launch due to its connections with CZ, but then experienced a huge dump.
