Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, conducted another Terra Classic (LUNC) burn on the first day of the new year.
Accordingly, Binance burned approximately 5.57 billion Terra Classic tokens in the 17th batch of the LUNC burning process.
According to CoinGape, the 17th Burn party covers the period between November 30 and December 30, 2023. Accordingly, Binance sent and burned 5.57 billion LUNC tokens to the burning address with the transaction made on January 1.
With the latest burn, Binance has burned approximately 40 billion Terra Classic tokens.
To date, the total LUNC burned by Binance has exceeded approximately 49.17 billion, while the total LUNC burned by the community has exceeded 92.5 billion.
Last December, Binance announced that it burned 3.90 billion Terra Classic tokens.
Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) and USTC prices are rising amid the broad market rally and Binance LUNC burn mechanism. At this point, the LUNC price has increased by up to 8% in the last 24 hours. It currently continues to trade at $0.000145.
