Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, announced that he has been plagued by spambots linked to a crypto project called AlphaGPT, which is suspected of being fraudulent.
In a tweet on Monday, Zhao said he had no idea what AlphaGPT was and first saw it in a spam comment on Twitter yesterday. He added that there seems to be a lot of bots spamming across multiple accounts and that they are constantly talking about Binance.
However, some users claim that AlphaGPT is a Ponzi scheme that uses fake reviews and testimonials to attract investors.
I don’t know what AlphaGPT is. First saw it in a spam comment yesterday on Twitter. There seems to be many bots spamming through many accounts.
They just can’t stop talking about us. 🤷♂️😂 https://t.co/soLSY3qU1a

These two topics had become trending topics on Twitter, with bot posts constantly tagging Binance and CZ for attention.
In a statement made in the past, CZ said that neither Binance nor itself will advertise any projects, and that developers who constantly ask for their projects to be listed in posts and comments are less likely to list their projects.
