LayerZero (ZRO), one of the most anticipated altcoin airdrops in the cryptocurrency market, sparked speculation among crypto enthusiasts by sharing a cryptographic date of June 20, 2024.
The firm had previously announced that it planned to launch a token in December and that it would be launched in the first half of 2024.
In a recent post, LayerZero developers referred to the operation as “snapshot #1” and hinted at a series of upcoming airdrops. This has led to increased expectations and speculation among followers who are eagerly awaiting the potential windfall.
LayerZero is a unique protocol that allows various blockchains to be connected without the need for a third party. It is currently used by Stargate and Radiant Capital, both of which saw slight increases in their native tokens following the approval of the snapshot.
In April last year, LayerZero raised $120 million in a Series B financing round, giving it a valuation of $3 billion. This round, which included significant investments from Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital, further consolidated LayerZero's position in the market.
