Popular decentralized exchange SushiSwap is preparing to expand to the Aptos blockchain.
According to The Block, Sushi will soon expand to include Aptos, the first blockchain that is not compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
As part of the Aptos expansion, Sushi's version 2 automated market maker (AMM) will be integrated into the Aptos network.
The Sushi team said in a statement:
“The Aptos integration marks the first non-EVM chain for Sushi.
Its first non-EVM integration with Aptos is key to advancing Sushi's goals of becoming cross-chain and multi-chain.”
Sushi currently operates on EVM chains Ethereum (ETH), Fantom (FTM), Polygon (MATIC), Arbitrum (ARB), BNB Chain.
Aptos made the following statement on Twitter:
“SushiSwap is moving towards a greater cross-chain experience with Aptos. Leading multi-chain DEX, Sushi will soon expand to include Aptos, its first non-EVM chain.
The two main SushiSwap products, Sushi v2 AMM and SushiXswap will be seamlessly integrated into the Aptos network.
As Sushi's first non-EVM network, Aptos is excited by Sushi's efforts to stand out across chain and multi-chain.
This development excites us and this is just the beginning. Aptos is dedicated to using Web3 effortlessly and empowering people with smarter solutions.
This is another step forward in this mission.”
