While hacking incidents continue to occur in 2024, it was announced that another DeFi platform was hacked.
At this point, PeckShieldAlert said in its post that the DeFi platform Gamma Strategies was hacked.
As a result of this hacking incident, the platform suffered a loss of $ 3.4 million, while the attacker stole 1500 Ethereum (ETH).
After the hacking incident, GAMMA, the native token of the platform, dropped by 50%.
Gamma Strategies took action to prevent further losses and said it had disabled deposits to all public DeFi vaults.
However, the protocol said withdrawals remain active for users to access their funds.
“All general safe deposits have been closed. You can withdraw your money if necessary.
Our vaults will continue to be managed normally for now, but deposits will currently remain closed until we identify and mitigate the issue.
