Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, started the day with altcoin announcements.
At this point, Binance recently announced that it has delisted two leveraged tokens linked to Cardano (ADA).
Stating that ADAUP and ADADOWN leveraged tokens will be removed from the list, Binance made the following statements:
“As of 03:00 UTC on 16.08.2023, Binance will cease trading and subscribing to leveraged token trading pairs ADAUP/USDT and ADADOWN/USDT.
After that all trade orders will be removed automatically.
The redemption service will be available until further notice.
Users are advised to trade their ADAUP and ADADOWN leveraged tokens with other tokens prior to the planned stop.”
While Binance's delist decision for ADAUP and ADADOWN tokens has no effect on ADA's price, ADA continues to trade at $0.2983 at the time of writing.
Apart from the ADAUP and ADADOWN delist announcement, Binance also made an announcement about the popular meme token Dogecoin (DOGE).
Binance stated that Binance Options will launch “DOGEUSDT Weekly Options”.
“Binance Options will launch “DOGEUSDT Weekly Options” on 10/08/2023 08:00 UTC.
DOGEUSDT Weekly Options are European style options contracts. New DOGEUSDT Weekly Options contracts will be listed every Thursday at 08:00 (UTC).
