Celestia, one of the projects followed by the cryptocurrency community, is preparing to launch its mainnet tomorrow. The launch will also see the airdrop of its native coin TIA, which will be available for trading on several centralized exchanges.
Major centralized exchanges such as KuCoin and Bybit have announced that they plan to launch trading for Celestia's TIA coins tomorrow at 17:00 UTC.
Binance also announced plans to list TIA and temporarily open trading at 19:00 BST. New spot trading pairs will include TIA/BTC, TIA/USDT and TIA/TRY.
A developer from Celestia confirmed the release schedule. More information about the upcoming launch is available on Celestia's GitHub repo, where the mainnet launch deadline is stated as October 31.
60 million coins were allocated for the TIA airdrop. This airdrop targets active users on Ethereum Layer 2s, stakers on Cosmos Hub and Osmosis, and developers in the general crypto space. The snapshot for the airdrop was taken on January 1, 2023.
Following the expected mainnet launch tomorrow, a maximum of 1 billion tokens will be minted on the network. This means that the airdrop accounts for 6% of the total supply.
