In a recent development, the owner of the very valuable “satoshi” username on Twitter, who claims to be Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto, published a detailed statement about BTC.

Fake Satoshi Claimed Attempts to Change Bitcoin Protocol and Claimed Rights in BTC Source Codes

In the statement titled “Protecting the Original Bitcoin Protocol and Open Source Rights,” the user discusses the latest developments regarding the preservation of the original Bitcoin protocol. The person claiming to be Satoshi stated that his actions did not aim to undermine or attack open source rights.

The user, who claims to be the original developer and founder of Bitcoin, argued that he has always fostered an environment where open source contributions are valued and respected, but recent events such as the forking of the protocol by certain groups without the user's consent require action to protect the integrity of the BTC protocol.

Fake Satoshi said he intended to protect intellectual property associated with the Bitcoin protocol by asserting his rights as BTC founder.

However, it is known that the Twitter account in question belongs to Craig Wright, who introduced himself as Satoshi Nakamoto. Although Wright said that BTC was founded by him and filed lawsuits against BTC developers, he could not prove this claim. Wright claims that he owns the BTC codes and is known to even file copyright claims against websites that share the Bitcoin Whitepaper.
