Binance, one of the leading global cryptocurrency exchanges, announced that it supports the local version of USD Coin (USDC) on the Polygon network issued by Circle.
Binance to Support Native USD Coin (USDC) on Polygon Network
The exchange will facilitate deposits and withdrawals for this local release and will make a separate announcement regarding the exact timeline.
It is important to distinguish between the bridged version currently built on Binance, known as USD Coin (PoS) (USDC.e), and the native variant on the Polygon network. The bridged version will be listed with the symbol MATICUSDCE.
For your reference, the contract addresses are as follows:
Bridged USD Coin (PoS) (USDC.e) on the Polygon network: 0x2791bca1f2de4661ed88a30c99a7a9449aa84174
Native USD Coin (USDC) on the Polygon network issued by Circle: 0x3c499c542cEF5E3811e1192ce70d8cC03d5c3359
Please note the following important dates and details:
Starting 2023-10-25 09:00, deposits and withdrawals of existing USDC on the Polygon network will be temporarily suspended.
This transition will have no impact on USDC spot trading, margin trading, futures trading, Binance Earn and Binance Pay services.
Bridged USD Coin (PoS) (USDC.e) tokens will now be known as MATICUSDCE on Binance and will continue to be supported for deposits and withdrawals.
A special announcement will be posted when local USD Coin (USDC) deposits and withdrawals are restored.
