Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) attended the BNB Standard Corporation launch event held today at the Nasdaq MarketSite in New York. CEO Alex Odagiu and the management team were also present at the event, which marked the launch of the company, traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol BNC.
The images released by the company today show CZ alongside YZi Labs executive Ella Zhang and BNB Chain representatives. The event was held to introduce the company’s new name and management team.
The company, formerly known as CEA Industries, changed its name to BNB Standard on September 29th. It describes itself as managing the world’s largest institutional BNB reserve.
BNB Standard’s strategy includes developing businesses that operate on the network in addition to holding BNB. One of the steps outlined in this context is running validator nodes on the BNB Chain.
Thus, the company aims to create a structure where it can generate revenue from network activity in addition to the price movements of its reserve assets. This model, focused on BNB, targets investors seeking access to the crypto ecosystem through traditional investment accounts.
Today’s ceremony was not about the company’s new IPO; it was an event to introduce the transformation of the existing Nasdaq company into a BNB-focused entity.
