Bitcoin, the most closely watched asset in the cryptocurrency market, continues to search for direction, with investors’ eyes focused on the $84,000 level. A recent analysis published by Bitfinex points out that the $84,000 level could be a decisive factor in Bitcoin’s future movement.
Bitcoin Reaches Critical Threshold: All Eyes on $84,000!
According to Bitfinex, $84,000 is a significant support level for Bitcoin. Bitfinex estimates that approximately 769,000 BTC, worth about $64 billion, were purchased between $84,000 and $84,500.
In this context, Bitfinex believes that if the BTC price remains above this level, the possibility of a market recovery may continue.
Conversely, Bitfinex analysts predict that if Bitcoin falls below $84,000, the $81,300-$82,600 region could come into play.
Maintaining the $81,300 level is considered particularly critical for the continuation of the current market structure.
Bitfinex analysis suggests that a break below the $81,300 level could intensify selling pressure. Conversely, if Bitcoin holds above $84,000 and surpasses $87,700 again, bullish expectations could strengthen, bringing the $90,000 region back into focus.
Bitfinex summarized the scenarios it expects as follows:
“Scenario 1 — Bitcoin holds above 84,000, ETF inflows remain positive, and short-term investors do not sell at a loss;
In this scenario, Bitcoin is expected to first surpass the $87,700 level, and then the $90,000 region is expected to come back into focus.
Scenario 2 — If 84,000 is broken but 81,300 is held, this is not yet seen as a major disruption for Bitfinex. In this scenario, Bitfinex analysts predict that BTC could test $81,300, find support there, and then recover.
Scenario 3 — If it breaks at 81,300, Bitfinex’s view changes significantly in this scenario.
Specifically, if this level is broken, outflows from ETFs begin, short-term investors sell at a loss, and Bitcoin remains permanently below 81,300, the next support level for BTC is stated to be $77,400.
Bitfinex also points out that the risk in altcoins may be higher, warning that a new drop in Bitcoin could lead to even sharper sell-offs in altcoins.
