The tokenized equity and ETF volume on BNB Chain has reached $1.1 billion. The network controls approximately 30% of the rapidly growing market.

BNB Chain became the first blockchain to surpass the $1 billion mark in tokenized shares and exchange-traded funds. According to Token Terminal data, the total market capitalization of these assets on the network reached approximately $1.1 billion, representing about 30% of the global market.

The total size of the tokenized equity and ETF market is approximately $3.7 billion. BNB Chain is followed by Ethereum with $828 million and a 22% share. Solana ranks third with approximately $738 million in assets and a 20% market share.

The market appears to be growing rapidly, not just on the BNB Chain side, but in general. The size of tokenized shares and ETFs increased more than fivefold in the nine-month period, from approximately $719 million in January.

A significant shift has also occurred in market distribution. In January, Ethereum held approximately 48%, Solana 31%, and BNB Chain 13%. Recent data shows that BNB Chain’s growth rate has surpassed its competitors. However, while the absolute value of holdings in Ethereum and Solana continued to grow, the changing factor was the distribution of market shares.

According to Binance Research data, there are approximately 1.8 million addresses holding tokenized shares on BNB Chain. This figure represents 45% of the addresses across the industry. The network features products from platforms such as Binance bStocks and Ondo Global Markets.

However, acquiring a tokenized share doesn’t always provide the same rights as directly owning traditional shares of the company. Voting rights, dividends, repayments, and legal ownership conditions can vary depending on the issuer. Furthermore, different tokenized versions of the same share may have different collateral and liquidity structures.
