Wintermute, a leading market maker in the cryptocurrency market, has increased the total size of its short positions on Hyperliquid to $211.53 million. According to the latest data, the company increased its overall short exposure while approximately halving its short position on HYPE.
According to data shared by Onchain Lens, Wintermute’s total short positions on Hyperliquid increased from $190.77 million to $211.53 million. Conversely, the company’s short position on HYPE decreased from $11.43 million to $5.60 million.
Wintermute short positions are as follows:
- Bitcoin (BTC): $70.80 million
- Ethereum (ETH): $53.83 million
- Solana (SOL): $17.63 million
- XRP: $7.41 million
- Dogecoin (DOGE): $6.79 million
- Hyperliquid (HYPE): $5.60 million
- Pump.fun (PUMP): $5.17 million
- Ethereum (ENA): $3.25 million
Wintermute’s largest short position is in Bitcoin at $70.80 million, followed by Ethereum at $53.83 million. The size of the short position on the SOL side is at $17.63 million.
According to the data, Wintermute’s total open perpetual position size is approximately $217.49 million. Of this, $211.53 million is short positions and $5.96 million is long positions.
The company’s unrealized losses from open positions are currently approximately $4.12 million. In contrast, Wintermute has generated approximately $2.27 million in revenue from funding payments.
Another noteworthy detail was the reduction in HYPE positions. Wintermute’s HYPE short position, previously at $11.43 million, decreased by approximately half to $5.60 million.
