Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have made a strong comeback after an eight-week streak of outflows. Net inflows reached $381 million this week, and buying pressure increased as the Bitcoin price hovered around $64,000. This development indicates a resurgence in institutional demand and has pushed total ETF inflows above $52 billion.

The Release Series Has Ended

Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded their first positive inflow after an eight-week period of net outflows. July reversed this trend with total net inflows ranging from $381 million to $403 million. This was the first positive month since April. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) fund, in particular, accounted for a large portion of these inflows, attracting $292 million alone.

Bitcoin’s Quiet Performance

Bitcoin traded between $58,000 and $65,000 in July, closing the month with an increase of approximately 8%. This was its strongest monthly gain since April 2025. This performance was noteworthy, especially considering that major stock indices experienced declines during the same period. Total net inflows from spot ETFs since their launch in January 2024 have exceeded $52 billion.

What it Means for Investors

BlackRock’s dominant role in this process demonstrates the consolidation of competition among ETF issuers. IBIT’s weekly gains of $292 million outperform most of its competitors. The eight-week winning streak serves as a reminder that investor sentiment can change rapidly. Developments in regulation and any changes in the macroeconomic environment that strengthen the dollar or increase real returns could affect both the Bitcoin price and ETF demand.
